Yoshio Sawai was born in 14th March 1977 in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. He is a son of a professor of Aichi university and Yoichi Sawai is gratuated in design at Aichi industrial university.
In manga world, he made his first debut the 2000 year in winter issue of Akamaru Jump magazine (this magazine is known because many famous mangas started here, for example Naruto and One Piece) with the one-shot Fierce!! Rock Paper Scissors Island!!, with a lot of satire and many gags.
In summer issue of the same year, a one-shot called Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo started in the Akamaru Jump. Due to success and acceptance, is 2001 this series begun with a normal serialization in the 12th issue of Weekly Shônen Jump, after spontaneous publications in 46 and 47th issues of 2000 year.
He has two assistants: Masasei Matsui and Yuichi Ozaki.
