Ma graduated from Hebei University of Technology with a major in fine chemical engineering, with a focus on the optimization design of the refining process, the separation and purification process design of the fermentation product, the solvent recovery process design, and the best equipment supporting plan. Ma used to be the technical supervisor of BeiDa Co., Ltd. and Beifang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of North China Pharmaceutical Group, the technical person in charge of the main process equipment of the second stage of Xinjiang Chuanning Biological Project. Ma has deep research and rich engineering experience in VOCs waste gas treatment technology, sludge dewatering and antibiotic residue treatment technology in the pharmaceutical industry.

Ma has undertaken 13 central and provincial and municipal scientific research projects, presided over the development of new technology for solvent recovery in penicillin production and won the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, participated in the research and development of new 6-APA production process, and VOCs waste gas treatment technology and equipment in the pharmaceutical industry. The integrated research and application of the key technologies of radical oxidation and biological oxidation in advanced wastewater treatment have obtained the identification of domestic leading scientific and technological achievements. Published articles include "Application of Low Temperature Drying Technology in Treatment of Antibiotic Bacteria Residue", "Study on Energy Saving of Molecular Sieve Rotor Processing Fermentation Tail Gas System". Ma has 5 invention patents and 13 utility model patents.
